I have to disagree about the lighting here as it looks over powering in this shot the grass seed head should not be this bright as it distracts the eye here. The fly looks pretty good but you have to weigh an image on all aspects not just the fly, if part of the image pulls your eye the subject will not look as nice as it could.

The lighting was natural sunlight, bright and I mean BRIGHT.I tried to tone it down in PS,but brighten the fly so it wasnt so dark.Sometimes, theres just no happy medium?:rolleyes:

Great clarity and depth of field! I don't know enough to comment on the overall lighting, would of been nice if the seed head would been darker.. What do you do, open up the f-stop? Change the angle of the flash?
