I am enjoying my Canon S500, as you can see from the many images I have posted in different sections of the "Photo Sharing" part of this Forum.
I do wonder about my focusing, however. I have found that many of my images are much better after I invoke the "sharpening" feature of Picture Window Pro 3.5 (I do not have PS.)
So I question whether I am not properly focusing (wrong mode, perhaps). I do always try to remember to depress the exposure button to the halfway point and listen for the sound that focusing is complete. Or is it a matter of an inherent problem with the lens.
Any hints on how to test the focus would be greatly appreciated.
