Taken in a salt mine who know's how many thousands feet below the surface somewhere in Austria.

I did a lot of work with the lighting and my hope is that it does not look like it.

Please comment and critique, and - as always - postprocessing welcome.

I like the idea - and the shot - but I think I would crop out some or all of the bottom. It's just distracting because I can't tell what it is (especially the red something-or-other and the whitish thingamajigs (beryllium spheres?) underneath it).

(especially the red something-or-other and the whitish thingamajigs (beryllium spheres?) underneath it).

I was torn on that too. The whitish articles are more candles waiting to be lit. I don't know what the red is. Hey, Catholics, a little help here? What would be in that area? Flowers, perhaps?

I suspect they will not be part of the final print.
