no idea on a product

This may sound abit dumb, but here goes

I was just on this site http://www.photoworkshop.com/canon/index.html and I went to Shooters insight to 1d Mk2 and then I on to "Click here to begin" and then on I click on focusing "sweat spot"

If you Watch the clip you will see that he has something attached to his hot shoe, the question is what is it called and who makes it.

I know what the device does, it would be a remote flash but I am more interested in the product itself. Is it one that is made by Canon or someone else.

I hope someone can help

Thanks for the links, however the pocketwizard.com link didn't work at the time writing this.

All useful information in understand the product. it's a shame however I don't have a need for it.
