Alright, don't post a whole lot, but for the life of me can't figure out what this is. Don't recall ever seeing them around here before.

It appears to be some horrible love child of a hummingbird and bumble-bee. :confused:

Hawk moth maybe?

I have several shots of this same species. I was thinking it was a hummingbird moth.

That's what it looks like to me, as well. To be more specific, it looks like a moth called a clearwing hummingbird.
