I'm thinking about buying a monopod, but most I've found locally are pretty short, requiring me to bend over to look through the veiwfinder.

I found this one: Davis & Sanford Trailblazer (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=169176&is=REG&addedTroughType=categoryNavigation), and it extends to a maximum height of 68" (I'm 74" tall). I'm not looking to spend a great deal of money on one, as it will see only occasional use, and this one is pretty damn inexpensive.

Does anyone know of a monopod which extends beyond 68", and comes in under $100.00?

Thanks...

Steve

If your 74'' tall, a 68'' monopod should come up to your nose, than the camera body should bring the viewfinder up to eye level, if not a little higher. So a 68'' monopod should be fine.

I am 75" tall and bought the monopod below. It is plenty tall except when shooting up. I just have to stand with my legs apart to shoot birds up in the trees.:)

Put a ballhead on the monopod and you will gain another 4+ inches. I am very happy with a Bogen 486RC2 on my monopod.

That looks like a nice one, although it's a bit more then I want to spend. Add to that the shipping cost from, I'm guessing, Great Britain, to San Diego, and it's a lot more than I want to spend.

It is nice, though...

Remember this is "Rip Off Britain" I am sure if you can find this in the US it will not cost anywhere near as much.

Good Luck

I tried a Google search, and only came up with a handful of websites, none of which were for retailers based here in the States...
