Coming out of the dark…

I have been lurking ever since I decided to upgrade my sony P&S to a DSLR. The information here has been invaluable in helping me come to the conclusion I am a Canon man and my 50D will be here today!! I know it sounds silly but it is intimidating looking at all of your great pictures so I have been tentative in coming out of the shadows and making my first post but here I am. I look forward to tapping in to your wealth of knowledge and ask your patience when I ask the dumb questions I am sure I will come up with.

If anyone has a good recommendation for a photography class I can take in the Tampa area (or if someone around Tampa wants to take me under their wing for a day) please let me know.

I have challenged myself to have a picture worthy of posting by Sunday night so wish me luck and be gentle.

You may wish to mess around with the search function here as well. You can target previously answered questions and not have to wait for someone to respond. Either way, we're here and look forward to seeing your pictures!

EDIT: You may want to turn on the "Image Editing OK" feature. People can then edit images you submit if you need assistance in that area.
