My Dad's car club (vintage, hot rods etc) puts on a local drag race event at the airport every year. I'm going to be there for it and will be doing the photos for the car club.
I'm flying in from overseas and trying to decide what to bring with me. I'll have access to every place that is safe.
The 1DIII is coming, of course, but it's the lenses I'm trying to narrow down. Will I need the 100-400? Or will the 70-200 + 1.4 teleconverter be OK?
I'm trying to keep the weight and bulk of my travel kit down and I am happy to consider renting gear if there's a better option out there. I'd probably use the 70-200 during the rest of my holiday and on some of the people shoots I have organized, though I was initially not going to bring it and just shoot primes for a change.
I'm bringing the 24L II - will something wider be essential, do you think?
Really appreciate your ideas :)
Oh and by the way, these are mostly street legal cars - it's a fun "racing" day, not drags drags ;)
