I had a nice trip to the N.O. Museun of Art this past weekend. I was told taking pics was okay (no flash or tripods). I had my Canon Pro90 in the trunk for the days excursion and took the opportunity to experiment with available lighting.

The only "artistic quality" in the photos are the subjects and talent by the artist!! My composition, lighting and in some cases, framing techniques leave much to be desired, but it was fun and I thought of sharing the experience!

Great shots. What's the story behing "The Getaway "?

I especialy loved your Alaska trip shots.
- the framed shot of the ship's wake
- Mt Juneau
- the totem poles

All of that reminded me of how much I loved Jonathan Raban's "Passage to Juneau".

Marie & Howie,

Thanks for the comments!

Marie, the lighting was relatively good with accent spots for the diaplays and portraits, however there was no help from daylight. Several pics took a lot of work to remove reflective lighting. A few were shot with ISO 400 but most at 200. I was suprised at the job the PRO90 did with the low lighting conditions, but the IS lens made it work!

The "Getway" Howie was the 1st thing that came to mind as I previewed and cropped the pic, nothing special. My Alaskan trip however was "Real Special" as after 27 yrs marriage and raising 4 kids, my LOML and I had a fantastic vacation Alone and captured some great pics as memories!

Kind Regards,

Ted
