Looks pretty good for f/3.5. I'd add maybe 150%|0.5|3 USM to get a little sharpness in it. These Tamrons are nice.

It's a wonderful shot and there's not much to change about it for my taste. It's one of those super kids pictures that needs no words....great capture !!

Shots like this are what cameras are made for. I'm sure it will become a family treasure.
It's nice & sharp, and I'm not one of those who subscribe to the notion that every image needs to be sharpened. I like it the way it is.
The catch lights in her eyes are a little strange. A little fill flash might have helped that, but the lighting is perfect as is.
Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Schmoelzel I really like the lense and find it quite sharp. I have been mostly using my 70-200f/4 since I got it and for me it seems to take some getting used to for this lense but I really like it! Do you remember were the sweet spot is for this lense? I need to spend some more time with it but my back has been not co-operating. I am actually thinking of heading to London in the next day or two and go to one of the hospitals emergency department in London and see if I can get something done right away. The hospital in Sarnia is a waste of time and there is no surgeons for back surgery anyway.
Thanks for the comments, any pointers on how you do your framing.

Wish I could help with knowing the sweet-spot but I honestly didn't use the lens enough......I think stopped down a tad to 3.5 is probably close. But I found it more than sharp at 2.8 and I think the reason people find this lens to be good is that the colour and contrast are very good. Sorry to hear about the back.......never a good thing. As far as framing, I am assuming the frames around my shots..........I use a program called FrameMaker by Extensis.....just tweak one of their stock frames until I like what I see.......

Fully agree with Curtis. This is beautiful shot, nicely exposed and with a lot of personality. Thanks for sharing.

Had two Tamrons, do they still make a lot of noise when focusing?
Whatever, they are sharp unless not focused or if there is movement...goes for any lens, for that matter, the Summiluxes and what have you...L's!
she cut her ..fangs?
A winning shot, wish it were mine...the shot I mean...and I confess to blurring some shots!

Great shot, she has an adorable expression!
My 10 year old daughter tried cutting her own bangs this spring, I was on my way to work when she called me bawling on the phone! It was a priceless story, she turns red everytime I tell it!
