Just returned from a trip to Devon, south-west UK.

I like them-especially the boat shot. Exposure, equipment info please?

A little lower angle would have eliminated the white thing in the background of the boat shot. I might have removed the pipes at the bottom, too.

the colors in both are really amazing

i have nothing to say about the observatory, it looks perfect

the boat is almost perfect, other than the white dock in the background

i checked your exif, what camera is that? canon digital ixus

Just noticed your replies after all this time! Must have forgotten to respond. Yes it was a Canon Ixus point-and-shoot. Some enhancement done in Paint Shop Pro.

2nd shot is great, maybe a little too tightly cropped. The first shot is cool too, as others said, a lower angle to cut out the building in the background (or clone it out), should have removed the pipes too. You could even clone the pipes out with a bit of effort.
