All these cameras with Digic IV's make me wonder when will the Digic V be out and in what camera. 1Ds MK IV or 5 DIII??

What will it bring to these new cameras?

probably will come out with the 5DIII and followed up in the 7DII... I believe the 5DII was the first with a digic IV (correct me if i'm wrong), and then the 7D implements 2 for faster processing/faster fps

i thing the 5Diii will have the digic V, as well as a higher mp count, same fps, maybe an increase in (usable) iso, same video featers. All of which i could care less about cause as soon as it comes out-all the 5Dii's will be ripe for the second hand pickings ;) can we say $1,700? I HOPE! :D

The 5DII will not resell at $1,700 When/if a new 5DIII is available.
At least the low shutter count, well cared for models.

if they're selling new for just under 2,600 and i can pick one up on ebay for 2,300 i say when the mk3's hit it'll hopefully put them at $21-2000... i can dream right?

I hope that these new processor, when will be available, will be used for improve the quality of the shoot (especially on high iso) using more sophisticated algorithms for preserve the fine detail better.
Despite a similar improvement it isn't only a matter of better processor but even to stop once and for all the megapixel war. :rolleyes:

They were selling at 2.1k new just a few days ago.

In the year 2199, yup, we have sometime to wait for the new batch of DIGIC processors, somehow I don't think I will be around, but you never know

I was at a local camera shop yesterday and the rep behind the counter was saying the digic 5 was "only" for P&S cameras... kinda a bummer. he also said their will never be a "Canon EOS 6D" like canonrumors has been saying. take it with a grain of salt.
