View Full Version : Hot pixel: Put up with it, or Canon replacement?

I have been using my D60 successfully for almost one year now, and I'm very happy.

Today I noticed that I have one single "hot pixel" which is always 100% blue. It is barely noticable on average photos, but quite obvious in low-light photos. Obviously it is 100% obvious if I shoot a picture with the lens cap on.

I have reviewed my older pictures, and it was not present a month or so ago.

Should I just put up with one hot pixel, or should I expect Canon to fix it or replace it?

I know it's only one pixel, but it's going to be really frustrating under low-light conditions.

Thanks!

Blue P is in the eye of the beholder!

I think I'd get it seen to but am a bit of a perfectionist. It must p*$* you off. For me, on a scale of 1-10, that would be a 9.5 and I'd take it in. If it's only say a 3 or a 4 for you, can you live with it?
