This one is a first attempt HDR, I need to work on the highlights and remove the blown out snow cap:

Excellent photos phil! I am finding the HDR tool in CS2 a little tricky to use but Im sure I will get the hang of it.

Like the mountain photos. And it looks like the goat wants to eat your camera.

very beautiful shots...the gray around the frames is a little distracting...IMO

Absolutely beautiful! I especially love the first and second ones. The contrast between the snow on the mountains and green land.

Great images - my favourite is No 3. Excuse my ignorance but what is HDR?

Thanks for the nice comments everybody! I'm gong to head back to the same spot this weekend (after scoping it out this last weekend) and try to capture the sunrise. In these shots I am looking SE, so I should be getting some good light across the valleys and on the glaciers.

The acronym HDR stands for High Dynamic Range. In Adobe's implementation within Photoshop CS2 this is accomplished by using a series of photographs which one takes in the same manner as with previous blending techniques, and then using floating point 32 bit (per channel) math, merging these files automatically into one huge high dynamic range image.
Taken from here (after a quick search for a cut and paste explaination): http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/hdr.shtml

Thanks for the comments! I can see your point about the grey frames. They are there to match the background of my online portfolio :)

I was just searching for pictures taken in my area and stumbled on this thread. Nice shots! 1 & 5 have great colors.
