I am starting to use ps7 more and am wondering if getting a wacom tablet is worth it. Do you have one? How long and did it really boost production? Which one do you have? What should I look for when getting one.
Thanks for your help.

I have the 9x12 intuos2... yes, it's worth it. It only took me a couple days to get used to it, and haven't looked back since. I'd say it cut my editting time almost in half, but depends on the image really. I also use a track ball. My 14 year old daughter has a 4x5 graphire and loves it, but prefers my intuos (i think just because of the size) when ever she gets a chance to mess with it.

I also have a 9x12 Intous2 at home (and a 6x8Intous3 at the office) and it's definitley worth the money.I actually think I prefer the 6x8, though.... but that may just be because it's new and not worn down like the 9x12. I used a 4x5 graphire for many years and it was a great little tablet, definitley worth the money and still much superior to a mouse, but a little mroe real estate makes a big difference.

I have a 6x8 Intuous3, and love it. Very easy to use, the larger size was too big for me. Some things are just impossible to do with a mouse!

Money well spent for detailed work - Graphire3 4x5, I like the minimal motion of hand/wrist required.

Really? I was kind of going for the 6x8, but now that is something worth considering. Have you used a larger one? Doesn't the 4x5 limit you?

i was too impatient to get into using the smaller version I bought at CompUSA. It is in the hands of my sister-in-law now, who has used them in school and has already learned how to make it zing...I need to get another and force myself to use it....they have some very cool features....

i have the Intouse3 6/9 and love it. I saw an ad for another company in a photographic mag. Cant remember which but i can check it tonight and get back to ya. Anyways it dont have all the bells and whistles as the Intouse but its about half the price! If you do alot of cutting out and making fine lines.. then its for you,

I just got my Intuos3 tablet a couple days ago, its leaps and bound better than using a mouse. One of the best purchases I ever made. I made a similar post in the Post Processiong section that is still active if you want to see more reviews, by reviews I mean people saying they love their tablets.

I have a Toshiba Porteg M205 Tablet PC, which uses the Wacom technology and it's absolutely great. Even better than a stand-alone tablet because you're drawing right on the image. I'd rather use a pen than a mouse to delimit an area any day!
