How many years have you been photographing, specifically macro? I just thought it would be cool to know.

been about 5 years for me, when I purchased my Rebel xt and the Canon 100 mm. Went a long way when I look at my old pictures... but I still have a lot to learn!

About one or two years in the late 60's on dead bugs. Mostly with manual film equipment with bellows, none of this was hand held.
Restarted this year hand held with better equipment, an old body, and one usefull eye.
I always have my old equipment which I will put to use this winter.

a little over 1 year, Picked up the Rebel t1i and the MPE-65mm with the MT-24ex.
Kinda jumped into fray with my first digital camera purchase.

My first attempts were made in the mid to late 50's and I have been fiddling with it on and off ever since.

6+ for me, as I was doing macro photography before digital cameras were available (film) ;)

Something like 1 1/2 years now. Before that I was fiddling with compacts, but never really got the satisfying results until about 6 months ago.

have been doing macro for a few years but sill havent' captured the perfect image. It's challenging yet fun if you get the shot.

About 30 years if you count film too, since 2005 digital.

In the film days it was a 50 or 85mm lens with tubes and two manual flashes on a bracket, my first digital SLR with the 100mm classic and even just the built-in flash if needed was so easy and better quality by comparison, and no film budget, luxury!

Few years, but never put as much time into as I wanted too.
