I'm a wildlife/scenic photographer interested in making the big leap into the digital world mainly due to budget restraints. From what I'm seeing it has the quality I need for editorial and display purposes and I'll be able to save on film and processing. I'm looking to the pros here to recommend what I should go with. I have a good system of lens but I'm not ready to spend $8000. for a body. Should I wait till the prices drop or start with a lower end model? If there are any stock photographers out there that could also tell me how they are managing their images. Thanks

Since you are posting on a Canon Digital forum, may we assume that your lenses. flashes etc are of the EOS variety, or at least compatible with the EOS system?

Yes. I have been shooting Canon for 26 years now. And don't really want to change.
