G'Afternoon,
Last weekend, I had my first family shoot. It was pretty fun--the family just roamed around the park, ignoring me for the most part, save for a few posed shots.
This was something new for me, so I still have tons to learn. But I had a great time!
Thanks for looking. The rest of the photos are here: http://lindsayblum.smugmug.com/People/Visney-Family

Look great! Needs a little fill light on the last one, but overall these are awesome!!

I love the setup and execution of most of these. If I have any general critique at all, it's that the candids don't have enough faces, particularly of the older boy. Lots of back-of-head shots, not nearly enough faces.

I'll echo Judy on the too many backs of heads - and lots of feet. But overall, great setups, and a collection that will stand the test of time as far as family memories go. Well done!

Thank you for your feedback! Yes, I agree, I needed a bit of fill light. I'll be more prepared for that in the future.

I really appreciate your feedback. I felt the same as I went through my photos afterward. Thank you!

Love these, esp your use of shallow DOF. I know they will love these! Agree with all the above pointers; I, too, got some advice on my first wedding post that I had too many "side" views and not enough full front--something I totally had not realized! That's what's so wonderful about this forum, people will really help you refine your skills. :)
