Train spotting

I have noticed that a lot of people get into photographing trains around here. I think it would be interesting to keep track of the locomotives and see where they go, start entering the numbers ont the front in to a thread with the location and date of the shot and see how many other people in different cities end up shooting the same train.

Any one else think it would be fun to see how the trains cris cross the country?
