I'd love your critiques about this. only post done was some contrast work and resizing and i cloned out a small part on the right. hope you like, but hope you have pointers too. :D

i can quite pinpoint it, but something seems missing

I know what it is missing. The top of the crane.
As it is, the crane bisects the shot into two halves, with nothing to connect them. Had you had the top of the crane, the sky would have hung like horseshoed over both halves and united them. If you couldn't fit it, I would have taken another shot of the crane and pano'd them together.
Other than that, the composition is very nice. Lines are good, diagonal is good. Excellent contrast between man (diminutive) and his creation (overwhelming (http://www.craneaccidents.com/index.htm).)

this is actually another shot (duh) but the steel hanging from the crane obscures the figure so its not as dramatic as the other shot. maybe i can combine the two in photoshop. hmmmmm:confused: :D
