Should I get my memory card replaced or try to get refund and upgrade to a memory card that is more compatible???
http://www.raleighadventist.org/canon/
Link above is to a folder that has images with obvious corruption of some kind.
Image #757 & 876 shows the problem the best.
There are a few lines of data perhaps from a previous picture corrupting the picture. Then the picture is shifted horizontally. In some pictures one of the color channels is missing for the shifted part of the picture.
I called Canon and they said it might be the memory card. The memory card people I bet will tell me its the camera. Any ideas which one I should send in for repair first?
The problem happens every 10 or so pictures. Doesn't seem to be related to battery life, but might be. Maybe the card is too slow?
Please help! Thanks in advance!!!

guest_G3,
What I suggest you do is put the 32MB CF memory, that came with the camera, back in the camera and take a heap of test pictures.
If it's the camera at fault, then its bound to show up on some of the test pictures. If not, then its most likely the Viking.

guest-G3, I am also using the Viking 256MB CF card on my G3 and it has been working fine for me. I am even using one on my 10D without any problems so I don't think there's any compatibility issues with this card.
Did you format the CF card before you started using it in the G3? If not, you should do it now. I format my CF card often just to make sure that the directory structure in the card is OK. Since directory structure can become corrupted over time it's a good idea to format the card often.
Also, are you powering off you G3 before inserting or ejecting the CF card? If you don't, that can cause data corruptions. This also goes for when you are uploading the images to your PC. If you are using a card reader for this purpose, you'll have to make sure that the reader is properly stopped before you pull the card out. If you have a W2K system, this is done by right clicking on the "Unplug or eject hardware" icon on the system tray. Select the reader device and click "Stop". (If you're not actually writing to the card from the PC, just yanking the card out shouldn't really cause a problem although W2K will complain, but why take a chance.)

Just an update in case anyone else has this trouble.
John Perez at Viking says, "It would appear you have a bad flash card. We recommend exchanging it. Go to our web site and fill out an online RMA to exchange it."
So I plan to do that.
Thanks to everyone for their help!

Hey PacAce,
Just discovered this today. If you left-click once on the "icon", you can click on Stop... and completely bypass that extra window!
