Has anyone in the UK/Europe bought these:

.... and if so, are they really genuine? It looks too good to be true.
Thanks in advance for your input.

Try these for size. I have purchased through Sterlingtek and only have good reports. Besides, they are a lot cheaper, even if you add postage from New Mexico!
Batteries charge in standard Canon charger and seem to last longer on one charge.

Well they look genuine enough, but I don't own the cameras in question to check against the original.
Have to say i use 3rd party batteries and have had nothing from them but good so it wouldn't bother me much.

My view on this is that when a 3rd party tries to immitate a genuine product, there is only one reason to do so and it is not good.
Third party batteries that don't deny the fact are probably better than the Canon immitation type. And you will only find out if they are genuine or not when you can hold them in your hand and compare with the genuine article.

At the end of the day, just buy cheap ones, and lots of them. i have bought like...sets of 2 for 8 pounds, and they are flawless...canon dont have magical energy storing power!

James is right: the batteriers from Sterlingtek last longer because they're 1800 mAh as opposed to the Canon battery that has 1390 mAh. What that means is the Sterlingtek battery has a bigger gas tank (so to speak;)) and it will last longer because of the 1800 mAh (milli amp hour)!
I love my Sterlingtek batteries. They charge the same and work in the camera the same except they last a little longer. Approx. 23% more capacity if I have my math right!;) And they're a lot cheaper:D:D:D:D

Yup, all is good with Sterlingtek! I can vouch for them, and they shipped to the UK no problems :D

Yes, I got one of the batteries from a place like sterlingtek here in canada. works beautifully. I use the one with the camera as my primary, and the 2nd one as a backup. In appearance they are identical minus the "canon" logo.
