I took this picture in the Poconos from this one path i was on. As you can see, the mountains in the backround are all dark but the sky above it is perfect in color. And then my flash had caught the trees and you can see the effect. Is there anything in Photoshop Elements to fix this? I think it looks pretty cool, but the only thing I don't like are the trees.

If you dont like the lightness of the tree limbs try darkening them with the burn tool. Just so that their not so noticable.
Great colors.

the color of the sky is nice, and also the dark mountains, but personally i'd clone out the bright tree branches because they are a bit distracting

Sorry People but I think you are off the track. I look at this picture and it has the same depth you experience if you were there. I think if you remove the trees it will not have the impact it does now.

Did you shoot the flash on purpose?

What would have happened without the flash?

I love the colors of the sky and if there's a way to crop to get the tree out, that would be great.

Although the burn tool would work.

Well, I forgot that I could turn the flash off, so it just occured to me now. I did try the burn tool, but i didn't like the effect that it gave, so I think i'm just going to stick w/ this. I do agree w/ Medalta though, about getting rid of the trees. So i think i'll be keeping them, i'll figure out something. Thanks for all of your ideas guys!
