Best Camera for Team/Ind. Rebel Series?

Ok, I have been out of Team photography for about 8 yrs and I want to get back into so I will need to upgrade from my present digital camera which is a Canon Digital Rebel 8MG. I am working on new proposals for a few leagues but I need to really upgrade the camera or be laughed out of the park as having the same equipment as the parents.

So what should I get that will do the job and not break the bank??

Your camera would work just fine considering that most team photos are printed in 11x14 or smaller. If you want to upgrade a bit on the cheap, look for a used 30D or 40D....can't go wrong there.

Its normally not the camera that limits the quality of photos, its the operator. And if you are asking for camera suggestions, then you probably need to read up some more on operating a camera and techniques.
