I shot this eagle at the zoo the same day that the other animals shots I posted came from. Same lens here, the 300F4IS. I got very lucky. The whole enclosure was in the shade except for where this eagle was at. A hole in the leaf coverage from the tree behind me made this one a keeper.

Wow, exposure is right on the money, and focus is so sharp. Only tip would be to omit the bottom part as the white patch really competes for attention :rolleyes: . Cool shot nonetheless!!

I agree. The viewer's eyes go immediately to the eagle head, and then they drop down to see what the hell that big white patch is at the bottom. Nice shot.

Excellent shot. I like the composition as is. To my eye the white at the bottom adds to the shot as a whole, giving it balance. My only nitpick would be that some of the detail is blown out in the bottom white portion. That's an easy fix in PS.
