These are just beautiful! CF, your shots are getting better and better!
I love both compositions--soooo nice!
My only comment-----I just got a new(refurbished) Mitsibishi Diamondtron monitor today-- just calibrated it -- so I haven't looked at a lot of images yet--but the first image is just a tad dark to me. I wonder if you can lighten it any in PS without blowing the white detail?
Otherwise, I think these are superb!

Bonnie, feel free to PS the images. Since I am a PS idiot, i would like to learn and see how well the images can be enhanced. :)

Marc, you guys have some beautiful birds too up north that we are dying to see here in the south. I'm glad this forum has become a great place to exchange images of birds from all regions. :)

The reflection could have been better if not because of the gusty wind we had that day. I guess i shouldn't complain too much. :D

Your shots turned out pretty good from that day, the whites look good and nicely detailed here Fee. The second image you can even see something in the birds bill.
