I don't know what type of boat this is, I was just struck by it's beauty. It must be a true labor of love to maintain it in that condition.

Nice photo. RE: "the labor of . . .", as a former boat owner I don't know if I'd call it love.:lol:.
I notice the boat in front of the one you feature also seems to be a classic speedboat, perhaps also wood. Is this common there or are you just among collectors?

They are fairly common here on Lake Winnipesaukee.

This is a "wannabe" Riva I think. But still the owner put a lot of hours into it I think. It's as you said, labor of love.
Edit: Or maye that's a Riva!!

Would these be considered ‘runabouts?’ I’m not expert in boats, but I do love the look of the wooden runabouts. Great picture. I would love to have the opportunity to take pictures of a gathering of them.
