Hi,

http://homepage.mac.com/steveives/Goodwood%202005/pictures/picture-14.jpg

Of to the Goodwood Revival next weekend for my second stab at motorsports photography and I was looking for some feedback on the photos I took 5 years ago, some of which can be seen here : http://homepage.mac.com/steveives/Go...005/index.html

These were taken with either a Canon 70-200 F2.8 or a Sigma 100-300 F4; for this trip I have a sigma 120-300 F2.8.

Thanks for any tips.

Steve

Your link doesn't work, but looking at the shot you posted i'd start by keeping the camera straight.

Hmmm,

Those 3 dots weren't supposed to be part of the link. This one works:

Geoff's comment goes for me too. Angled shots can look ok, but this is just too angled, in my view.

Thanks - I'll bear that in mind. I think I liked the way the curve of the bend went from corner to corner, but I can see your point.

People forget background and that shot has opportunity of a really good one with the crowd. It isn't always 100% about the cars, the venue can add so much to the shot.

I leave sloping shots to the editors and take them all straight.

I'd echo the above

- keep the camera straight.

- If there is a crowd, include them as it can add atmosphere, but sadly for club events there often isn't a crowd...
