I am trying to enhance this picture in Elements 2.0. I have read books and I suppose I am more of a hands on learner. I would love any suggestions on how to enhance the colors in the picture. http://www.scrapbasics.com/photos/data/501/1test.jpg

Hi, Renee!

There is a great thread in -Talk about Photography- called -Q&A with Martin-. You should check it out. They are working with B&W photographs, but the PS techniques you learn there can be applied to color.

I am just learnin' this stuff, so don't think for a second that I think I know what I'm doing. ;) I have a thread going in this section of the forum and found your thread and your "cutie pie" subject and thought, "Hey, I could try out what I've learned on this shot and see what she (you) thinks!" So, here it is. I hope you like it! :D

(If you do like and are interested, I wrote down my steps in PS as I went, so let me know and I'll post 'em. mmmkay?)

Here another version with a little more depth in the sand...I don't know if I like it any better though.

I can take a crack at it if you post the full sized original. It's very hard to work with something this small which has already been compressed with JPEG twice.
