3. My general annoyance at people who find it necessary to 'spam' multiple forums with ads for pricing that's nothing 'special, and to inform readers of the same that might fall for it...

You can get the same 1gb Transcend 30X memory cards from www.powerinnumbers.com.au for US$247.50 - (I'm in no way affiliated with them, they're simply the first site that came to mind that do memory at good prices) - likewise the other sizes...

Are those prices in AUD you are quoting Tony? if so then the ones on the site are not the same.
Can you give me a quote on a 512 inc tax and postage. Please quote with it being broken down so I can see excact charges.

I think powerinnumbers.com.au is wonderful. Great friendly service, and support! Fast postage too!

I was recommended to them from another happy person using a Canon G2, and would recommend them to anyone else too.

Word of mouth is the best way to buy things! :)

Here's another cheap aussie site worth checking out. www.mittoni.com.au. I have purchased their brand card and it's been extremely reliable. From memory it utilises a samsung ic chip. I find it faster than my sandisk . I'd be guessing by the specs that it's a ridata under the hood
