My first post to this very informative forum. taken a few days ago on my new 350D - still feeling my way around it but very impressed so far. C&C is most welcome. It has been tweeked a little in PS but feel free to edit should you wish.

Welcome to the forum Steve. You asked for C&C. Well it doesn't really work for me. The shot looks too soft, no sure if it's the compression. The verticals are tilting to the right which can be easily corrected in PS (unless it is actually a wonky bridge!).

Out of interest, where in the Dales is that?

Thanks for the comments,
Mannytkd - good spot! it is indeed Burnsal.I stumbled on it by accident earlier this week, its a beautiful location. The uploaded image is indeed very soft.

Martin - I think the softness has arisen in compression. I resized it in the Canon PS clone software thats supplied - this got it to below 100kb - but we now know at what cost...the same size image in Photoshop is 150% larger. I'll have a go at adjusting the verticals- I agree it would be more pleasing on the eye. The shots taken at Burnsal it lies below Bolton Abbet in Wharfedale.
