What Flash with Canon D30 ?

Hi,

As my existing Cobra AF700 doesn't work with this camera does anyone have suggestions for one that does other than the Speedlite EX range ?

I prefer an off-camera setup such as the pro-grip I had on the Cobra.

I've been looking at second hand Metz but am not sure how well they'd work with my camera.

Any help/advise would be appreciated.

There is a post in the forum on how well Mertz works with the canon.

I am currently having the 420 EX and the 550 EX, which both works well with my D30, D60 and now the 10D.
For D30 and D60....use FEL (Not tried with my 10D yet) for more constant results....

People seem to have good results with the powerfull workhorse 285H from Vivitar. HAve ordered one myself and hope to get it this week.
