This image taken the last fall when everything is as big as it's going to get here, and this is one large robberfly, and also needs a wax to get rid of all that nasty body hair.
Sigma 180, 10D, Don't have access to the rest of the specs here other then I know I was using a tripod and that this is full frame.

Man those things are nasty....
looks like some kinda wasp it's captured...
lovely shot....sharp as hell........... i like the contrast of colours between the 2 bugs

Looks like it's about 2 inch compared to the wasp. And hairy like a Bumble Bee. Very interesting catch with great detail.

whoa, ive never seen a hairy one before. robber flies are so annoying, they find a spot to hang out and wont leave.
