Cool capture on the falling water droplet!
Thanks! The water was dripping somewhat quickly so I was able to capture it in a single shot.
What I find cool, is the reflection of the building to the side of me in the water droplet!

Thank you. Both pic's were shot with EOS5D.
As for lenses, mostly are Canon L's between 17-200mm with exception to EF50mm f/1.4 and a Sigma Fish Eye.

I don't want to disparage anyone here because there's some great shots here.
I just wanted to point out that this thread is here to show off bokeh, not simply demonstrations of narrow depth of field.
The two are quite distinct. Can we stick with bokeh, please?

That's a great idea to decorate our apartment too. We are just getting a new TV (50'' plasma :D, but I have to save on lens shopping ) and we are thinking about decoration. Putting up some large prints I have of my son, some flowers, etc. could be nice. I will think about it and hopefully my wife is happy and she will sponsor some new lenses :D.

My official first post.
So, I've been lurking around the POTN forums for quite sometime, all the while saving paychecks to delve into this new hobby. Finally received my 400d kit on the 14th and have been shooting daily since. I exceeded 1000 shutter actuations this morning shooting some ceramics pieces in my school's gallery, and this is what I get. Nifty-fifty is supposed to come in tomorrow!
Sorry for the lack of a duck shot. Maybe I can snap a Canadian Goose while they're still in town!
Oh, and I didn't make those pieces. Those were made by a fellow ceramics artist who forgot to leave a name on their pedestal.

Amazing. The angle or perspective this shot was taken from has definitely done something to the proportion values of the subjects in composition.
Any details on this shot would be incredible to have.

Thanks, annunaki. :)
I don't really know what to say about the distorted perspective, though. I didn't use a TS-E or a wide angle or anything like that. I just used my 50/1.4 wide open on my 5D. I think the proportions are just throwing you off a bit because of the composition and shallow dof.

Well, that's what I was looking for advice on. The composition. I mean, was it shot at an angle on a tripod? It's a wonderful perspective and hands down probably my favorite in the thread.

Wow, thanks man. :)
It was a handheld shot probably taken at a slight downward angle to raise up the top of the chairs to near the top of the frame. I was sitting at the front of a chair so I was at about level with the chairs you see in the background.
It's funny because it's actually the waiting room of my grandmother's eye doctor so I spent a good amount of time just sitting there twiddling my thumbs before I realized there were probably a couple decent frames hidden in there somewhere. :)

Not my favorite pose from this Golden Eagle, but interesting bokeh. He was sitting in a pen made of orange safety net/fence, hence the orange glow....

These were shot with the lowly Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III. It's not bad, as long as you have light.

Thanks for the kind words guys. That's the 1.2 for ya. I was just foolin around trying to find the bokeh (again). ;)
I took it through the lattice (sp?) fence thingy on our back deck, then upped the saturation. I know I shouldn't have centered the leaf, but I wasn't sure the rule of thirds mattered much as it was just a test shot. It looks kind of freaky, doesn't it?
