I'm not sure if those dark spots are caused by dust from the old lens or from the sensor.

I gotta say that's a really cool example of how longer lenses compress the background more so than wider ones (since in the 135mm tests, you can only see the bottom of the window, while in the 50mm test, the entire window is visible.) Nifty stuff, and yes, all very smooth!

Well, actually, the fact that you are able to frame at such a longer distance is specifically a function of the lens. The lens is 100% of the reason that CAN happen.

Yeah, but cropping is not the same as framing. You lose a lot of the personality of a lens when you crop into the center. And generally much of the quality as well. *shrug*
