So my family's company wants me to do some work for them. They own/manage apartments and shopping centers in the area and have redecorated their conference room. Now they would like me to get some photos of their apartment complexes and shopping centers (as accomplishments) to display in the conference room.

I don't do very much urban/landscape photography. What are your suggestions as far as natural light needs, f/stop, ISO, etc?

I will be using my Tamron 17-50 for perspective and a CPL to help battle the light.

Here's an example...I just went out a couple hours ago and took a few photos as tests.

Any comments??

What time of the day was this? I can't see any shadows on the ground, but I would guess mid-day? You will have better luck at early AM, at sundown and after sundown depending on the orientation of the buildings.

Early evening, with lights on inside the buildings is a good choice. Are any of the buildings lite with flood lights? There is no one answer for all locations. Shoot a variety and pick the best. That's the beauty of digital.

BTW, the angle you've chosen above is a good one in that you've included the water feature.

Good luck & post samples
