I took this image a few days ago in RAW and converted using tungsten white balance, a bit of dodge and burn, finishing off with unsharp mask. C&C welcome,
Roger.

Try converting over to b&w and messing around with it. there might be potential there for a good B&W photo. I can't put my finger on why it doesn't resonate with me as it is now...maybe its because theres no clear cut subject with lots of sky. I'm not sure. Good lighting though, i like the blue effect, I'd just like to see how it turns out in B&W.

I think the power lines are a bit distracting... perhaps...

I think the power lines add a little bit of depth tot he picture.. The moon glow is pretty cool..

Yeah nothing there that makes it stand out totally.. good luck

I think spinaltap has your answer here with the idea that you don't really have an obvious subject in this photo. It seem well done technically, but when I look at it I think, "Hmmm, what am I looking at here...the sun/moon/sky...the telephone poll...the landscape...the road? "

You just needed to have isolated someting or give an aspect more of the frame. This is ofcoarse just my opinion, but I hope it helps.

I have been in your position (posting a photo and people look, but don't reply) and in my case I would have rather people offer constructive critisism than nothing at all.

Did you lower the temp? I love the shot, and I think that it only needs a little cleanup to be a great shot.

Good comments all, thanks. I guess the road and power lines lead to the same direction for me and the moon illuminating the scene. I was hoping the field on the left would look better than it does as it's a vineyard. I think some elevation would have helped here a lot and given more perspective to the road and lines. When I converted from RAW I did lower the colour temp' and then looking, it seemed impactful at the time. I did consider not posting but my wife really liked it so I thought lets see what people on the forum think. I broke a few lanscape rules here, not the least of which is the elevation issue. I have failed to break them creatively and thanks again for the comments. I will try a b&w conversion!
Roger.

Sorry to make you homesick mate, you'll just have to come back for a visit.......the road is towards Mt Conobalas near Orange.

Glad you like it.......don't know how to frame, I think I need a PS plug-in for that. I agree though it would look good with a fairly large frame.
