What have I done?!

I decided to see what pictures would look like on my TV so tried the cable to video out. Never got the TV input selected correctly so quickly gave up.

I then connected my 350D to my desktop PC using the usb. THe camera is shown as a main folder in my computer but when I click on it to see the folders on the card, the computer hangs. I restarted the PC and found that I can only see the pictures on the card using windows picture viewer. I cannot get the card listed with "My Computer"

I have taken the battery and card out and put them back.

I have loaded the Canon software onto my laptop and when I plug in the camera the "new hardware found" does not come up and I cannot explore the card on the camera.

The camera's connection mode is still set to PC connection.

The card itself is working as I can review the images on the camera.

Help please.

Most people will recommend gettng a card reader, me too.

You might review the Communications settings in Menu (normal or PTP), It looks like normal is the one you want. Most of this is in the Software Manual.
