Andres Serrano anyone?

When I was a kid and I got the Metallica Load album I remember thinking the cover was liquid fire or something like that. Someone told me it was semen and blood, but i didn't believe them and forgot about it. Recently I remembered about that and looked it up and found out its a real photo by Andres Serrano. I looked at some of his other work and I think it's bazaar but it has it's place in art, it's almost necissary. I'm probably just weird too, after all before I knew of him I started an "unfortunate nature" portfolio of dead animals faces.

What are your thoughts on Andres?

I have to say that some of it is not really my cup of tea and I'd disagree about the necessity of it (I'm talking about the still life shots). The faecal series in particular!

The series entitled America are a great set of portraits on the other hand.
