I've taken about 4.5k shots with my D60 and recently i've notivced this blob appearing which requires PS work to remove.

I've been promising to clean my lenses for some time, however tonight I cleaned and scubbed to no avail.

I've also used CF13 (clean screen) also to no avail.

Any ideas anyone, example here...

The blob is three quarters along to the right just above half way line

It's possibly on your sensor, try cleaning it.

“Blobs” are usually associated with dirt on the D60 sensor. Read the manual on use of CF 13 and sensor cleaning. Basically CF13 will lockup the mirror with an open shutter to expose the sensor. Clean with a lens air plunger. Do not use compressed air and do not touch even with a brush. I had a “blob” on my D60 that was a simple piece of white dust. A little blow and all is better.

It was with great trepidation that I decided to clean my sensor using Eclipse fluid and the pads which come with the kit. They are cheap in the US but quite expensive here in Oz. After I did this, I came across this great pbase site showing how its done

Good luck

Michael has a tutorial/discussion of this issue which you might find helpful - both technically and wrt trepidation about even touching the thing!
