Here are the facts:
32 meg Cannon card works fine
256 meg card was formatted before use.
A few pictures were taken on 256 meg card and downloading worked fine.

Then 20 more pictures were taken.
All pictures can be viewed in camera but cannot be downloaded. Software says no images on camera.

32 meg Cannon CF card continues to work fine.

Attempted solution was to update firmware and latest patch for Zoombrowser software. This did not work.

I don't want to destroy my images on the 256 meg card by formatting it again with new firmware.

I am using Windows 98

Do not reformat the card again. There are image recovery programs available. Use Google. Next, how long have you been using Zoombrowser? Get rid of it. There have also been past topics regarding this problem here. Use the search at the top of the page to see what they are. I'm sure you'll find a solution with a little patience. Good luck.

Thanks for your reply. The camera is new so I have just started with Zoombrowser. I tried to use photoshop and it gives me a message that there are no images on the camera. Photoshop works fine with the 32 meg card. The images look fine on the camera using the 256 meg card, just can't download them. Weird! The brand of card is Dane. Sounds like some kind of software problem.
