I am posting a few shots from Friday night High School game. I would appreciate reviews as I plan to continue doing this. I thought they looked terrific Friday night, then the more I look the less I like. What do you think?

They are very small, which makes it difficult to comment on them. however, in shot number one the action seems to be falling out of the frame with the leg of the guy in the air disapearing. But we really need to see something bigger.

Shot number 1 - This would be a good shot except for a few things. As Neil_r said, its falling out of the frame and the leg isn't in the frame. Another problem with that image is that there are people in front of the action, making it hard to see how high the player is jumping. This is probably something that would end up in my computer's recycle bin.
Shot 2 - This one is MUCH, MUCH better and a very good shot. Quarterback shots are always a good thing to try and capture, and you seemed to freeze him at a good time. One minor nitpick about this image is that you need to crop it tighter since the QB isn't centered. The linemen in the background is also somewhat distracting, and it draws me away from the QB.
I have some football pictures on my webpage. You can view them here (http://webpages.charter.net/masdog/images/Photo/Football.htm) to get some ideas.

I will second on the need to see the bigger. look at recropping number 1 - it may be very usable cropped correctly. On number 2 - I don't have any problems with having a defender struggling to get to the QB in the background - it changes the pic from just a shot of a qb passing to having context. But again, it is really hard to tell from such a small image.
And back to my mantra.... the horizon lines are crooked. I only mention this becuase I have a huge personal issue with this. Dispite the fact I am using a monopod - I am always 2 degrees off and have to correct it. So also quickly see it in others stuff too - and it probably isn't even noticed by others.
But lastly - if the parents are happy - they are the ones who count.... so good job.
