Since the outbreak of atypical pneumonia or SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome), some people are worried about traveling to Hong Kong.

Personally, I don't see the problem.

what a funny sight. really enjoyed it.
I have a picture like it, but of course with a different mask on me. must try and find it

you never looked so well and not sick at all.
since I heard about that bug, a few weeks ago
I was thinking and wondering about all over there in hk and hoping you lot wouldn't catch it.
griffin also.
anyone.
hope it goes away soon

that bug has travelled over here to these islands now
(uk anyway) and other places.
and we got no mask (yet)
not that you would notice anyway
: ))

wondering are they freebies or
**cost -a- lotta ?
(**thats a good place for a holiday)
yours looks expensive and not a freebie
a special for photographers maybe : )

thanks
marie

saw hong kong on the news last night and all the stock exchange guys wearing face mesh (? ) :
it could start a new fashion.

Maybe there will be an increase in holdups by masked robbers.

No, Neil... NOT sick, because I take precautions. :)

Glad you're amused... that was the point, after all.

Cheers,

Yes, that same thought occurred to me. :) Unfortunately, we have strict guns laws here and I can't see any daring daylight gold robberies with chopsticks.

Hi Marie,

Yes, I'm still fit and healthy -- although I nearly died in that plastic bag. It's 28C/82F and I couldn't have the fan on because it was blowing the plastic sheet (1/4 second shutter speed) and I didn't think about the air conditioner because I thought this was going to be a quick photo shoot.

Hong Kong small business people are very quick on the up-take. There was an initial shortage of masks which pushed the price right through the ceiling. I waited a few days because I don't often go into the city, so I bought my first 10-pack for about US$6. Two days later I bought the same pack from the same shop for US$4.

As for that sneeze -- and your generous and amusing comments -- Bless you!

thanks don
yes , most everything we ever had when we were small was
' made in hong kong'
it was a standard joke
(and I can't think what exactly the joke was
but the crack was > if it was 'made in hong kong' or not : )
now you are too
(what ? made in hong kong : )))
well almost.........
I must say about the mask , I never guessed it really was your own invention,
a plastic bag !
its very very funnny to see it come up like it on the screen.
(the pictures have much more impact that way)
very well photographed
considering you had to peep out of those slits to do it

between that and the picture of the clock,
and others no doubt , you surely will be locked away soon.
hope you didn't get a panic attack while in the bag

achooooooooooooo
still at it,
its catching............

remember the hong kong flu years ago
what is it about over there : )
are those chickens being looked after properly
and not layered on top of each other where they are 'housed' , their droppings falling on to the next batch and so on ,and other things
no worries.
can happen anywhere.
look at the foot and mouth (not mine ) over in the uk. things get neglected and people get greedy and things happen then, because someone didn't care enough as regards hygiene, with the animals and food stuffs.

thats a great picture
any more ?

the kkk would love it

Hi Don,

For face mask photo, perhaps you should take another photo using N95 grade mask. Now it is easy to get one, in supermarket, in drug store, in food market,... (just joking).
