Ixus V3 - Does it click?

I'm on the verge of buying an Ixus V3 but haven't been able to try one out yet. Can anyone advise me on how quickly it can power up and shoot. Also, does the shutter actually click or make some sort of sound when it's actually taken a picture? I've had a Nikon Coolpix 775 for the past six months and it drives me crazy because you can never tell in bright sunlight if it's taken a shot or not as it's so quiet and the LCD screen is indistinguishable. I would love it if the Ixus V3 actually made a healthy click when you push the shutter release!
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi!

I've had this wonderful camera for 3 weeks now and I'm thrilled!! Have been taking hundreds of pictures.

The power up -time is about 2 seconds and yes, it makes a click when it takes a picture.
