Hi

I'm looking for a replacement tripod mount for my Canon 70-200 2.8 L Lens, and I found one, but I'm not sure that it will fit.

At http://www.adorama.com/catalog.tpl?op=details&sid=104931926674236079&sku=CATMR they announce that it will fit the 70-200 mm, but on other sites (like http://www.epinions.com/Canon_Tripod_Mount_Ring_A_B___Tripods_C547003/display_~full_specs) it's only mentioned for the 200 2.8. Does anyone has experience with this collar?

Thanks

I see both links saying
"EF 200 f/2.8 II only. Replacement part, black finish only."
and
"This is a tripod mount A ring and is manufactured for 200mm f/2.8L "II" lens."

For 70-200/2.8L the collar is model "CANON TRIPOD MOUNT RING B(W)" and I could not find a single online shop carrying it. I think your best bet is to find authorized Canon dealer and ordering one from them.

Now I see it, but the title on the first link i've posted does say : "Canon Tripod Mount Ring A (B) f/ EF 70-200/2.8 & EF 200/2.8L II (Replacement - Black finish)"

The original cost 180 euro in Belgium, that is an awful lot for such a thing I think...

Thanks anyway.
