Hi,

can anyone tell me if you can get a digital slr and lens combo capable
of shooting a minimum of 90 degrees FOV both horizontally and vertically ?
Must not be a fish-eye lens.

Cheers,

E.

Vertical you can not get 90deg w/o fish

10-22 on 20d = 97horiz 74vert
14mm on FF sensor (1ds or 1dsmkII) = 104horriz 81vert
15mm fish on FF sensor (1ds or 1dsmkII) =141horiz 91vert

Yes, there are free programs like PTLens that will defish a fisheye photo, with profiles for various lenses, but then you'll most likely be back to under 90 degrees vertically, because I believe the horizontal and vertical angles of view are at the widest point, not the center of the frame.

How about stitching together a couple of images?
