If I'm not mistaken, it's just a large-format film camera.

If I'm not mistaken, it's just a large-format film camera. That's what I get out of it. It seems that he scans the large format negative to get the monster files.

it was on the tv last night
I only caught some of the piece about him
I would be no use at explaining anything anyway

but it showed in his enlarged shot how from across a lake, a horse and small barn could be seen clearly , the shot taken from a distance of two miles away

he had massive pictures on display
they showed so much small detail which could be seen close up
he and 'they' are very excited about it

Parts of the camera are 1940's vintage, and I thought they said that the film magazine actually saw duty in a military aircraft at some point in it's history. The negatives looked to be about 9 inches high and about 18" wide. It just goes to show you that . . . .

Bigger is always better!

I gues I do need that full-frame sensor.
