you've ever done to get a photo!

In one of those 'down time' moments I started to think about the dangerous things people get up to in order to capture the perfect shot. So what have you done?

I think my most dangerous was when I climbed over a safety rail beside a waterfall in BC and clambered down a slope to get a shot of the the water coming over the falls. At the time I couldn't swim and one slip could have sent me in to the ranging torent! My wife didn't talk to me for a day and the photo didn't turn out! :o(

I hope you don't continue to do such things Damian. We hear all too often here in B.C. about people not obeying the signs of danger and need rescuing. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
I suppose the most dangerous is standing in the path of two Clydesdale's to get a shot. Not really too risky as I was at least 20 feet in front.

Colin

Since I've had kids I've become much more sensible! Can't tell them off for doing daft things if I'm setting a bad example.

BTW I've got some great shots of Vancouver Island (specifically around Tofino) but they were all with film.

I'll be going to the Island for holidays this year for a week and doing some whale watching while I'm there. I'll be bringing back tons of photos.
Oh ya, Squamish is on the agenda this year too.

Give my recards to Tofino - Jamie's Whaling Station did a good trip for us.

Thanks Damian. I'll look into that.

I was in the Blue Ridge mountains shooting a waterfall also. Rather than going around, I shot from a bridge. Well, I couldn't get low enough for the shot I wanted, not even on my tummy. So I had my hubby hold my feet while i bent over backwards at the knees at got the pic hanging upside down over the edge. The pic turned out :)! (on regular film, sorry).
