Took a ride to the damn and also walked across the newly completed bypass bridge on the first day it was opened to foot-traffic.

Thanks. It's the second tallest span in the US, I believe.

And yes, the lake is about 75' below where it should be, and has been dropping steadily for the past ten years. Scientists at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography predict there is a 50% probability that Lake Mead will be completely dry by 2021, because of climate change and unsustainable overuse of Colorado River water.

I've lived in Vegas since '93, and it's very worrisome to me. We used to do a lot of boating and waterskiing when it was full. I don't even like going out there now :(
