Hi

Ive just got an Ixus v2 and have been playing about with it today. After realising i could only record 30 seconds clips at any one session i was releaved to read that i could jut stick the vids together to make longer clips.

however i havn't been able tow ork out how to do that. Ive got video impression, canon zoom browser and the other thta come with the camera. How do i edit avi's so i can add music to them, cut away boring parts, and put a few clips together to make a longer video?

do i need to downlaod anpther program? any tips? thanks.

I have used VideoImpression 1.7 to put video clips together to make a 5 minute movie. But, I have not tried adding music to it. I suppose you can do it. I also found that Virtualdub more gives me a better result:

You can also dl this to add text subtitles:

And, also this to deshake (smooth) your video clips.

You have to follow instructions, put these last two into the Plugins directory of virtualdub, and then add them as filters in virtualdub. I have not tried putting in music as well. If you found out how, please post to let me know.
